Upholstery Cleaning

Upholstery Cleaning Survey

A full written survey is conducted prior to cleaning the upholstery to identify the fibres. This helps to assess which suitable method and cleaning products to use. We also need to inspect the padding to see if this will affect the cleaning process. After this we discuss with you which method we can use. We can hand clean the furniture which results in less down time.

The upholstery is dry in most cases within 2 hours. If you would like a fabric protector to reduce the risk of staining this can be done at the time of initial cleaning. We will advise you verbally as to the benefits to your specific piece of furniture and allow you to make an informed decision without any pressure.

Unfortunately, there are times when the upholstery is too old due to heavy wear and tear, particularly on the arms, seats and head area and this will not always be obvious until after the cleaning process but we will always advise you prior to cleaning as to the likelihood of success so that you can make an informed decision.

Bed Bugs and Dust Mite Removal

We also offer a service to test for bed bugs and dust mites and remove them from beds and soft furnishings, as well as carpets. It involves using specialised equipment especially developed for hospitals and hotels and has been used for many years.

Once applied, there is no downtime and the items can be in use straight away. During the treatment, the dead insects and (in the case of dust mites), the faeces are removed and it’s this which causes the skin complaints in humans.

It’s quite normal in extreme cases that a second treatment may be required after a month and there are times (in a serious infestation of bed bugs) that only specialised chemicals will solve the problems which we are qualified and experienced to deal with.

There are times when we will have to use a specific insecticide which is outside our control and prices can vary, we cannot price online as we need to inspect the premises in order to quote you.

We also offer a treatment called healthy homes which also cleans, sanitises and removes dust mites from carpets and reduces the likelihood of re-infestation using specialised chemicals, but leaves no chemical residue afterwards this treatment with the combination of the mattress treatment is more effective in the long term. We can offer package deals where we treat the mattress and clean the carpets at a reduced fee, please call for a free inspection and quotation.
